Ottavio Rivarola

Ottavio Rivarola (born January 17, 1595 in Chiavari , † October 1651 ) was an Italian bishop .

biography

Ottavio Rivarola comes from a respected family from Genoa and was a nephew of Cardinal Domenico Rivarola . He completed his studies with a doctorate in both rights. In 1618 he became a trainee lawyer for both signatures , then vice delegate of the Romandiola . He later became Vice-Governor of Fermo and permanent commander of the Monastery of San Nicola di Casole in the Archdiocese of Otranto .

On June 5, 1627 he was appointed Bishop of Ajaccio . He held this office until his death in 1651.
