Otto Büsing

Otto Büsing (born March 28, 1837 in Schwerin ; † January 12, 1916 there ; full name: Otto Heinrich Johann Büsing ) was a member of the Reichstag .

Life

Otto Büsing attended grammar school in Schwerin and graduated from high school in 1855. He then studied law in Kiel , Jena , Heidelberg and Rostock until 1861 . In 1855 he became a member of the Teutonia Jena fraternity . He established himself as a lawyer in Rostock. From 1863 Büsing was also the syndic of the 1st quarter of the representative citizens of Rostock. In 1868 he was accepted into the council as a senator. In the same year he became judge presen. In 1871 Büsing started working as a bank director in Rostock. In 1907 the University of Rostock honored him with an honorary doctorate . He was awarded the Prussian Order of the Red Eagle 2nd class and the Prussian Order of the Crown 2nd class.

Büsing represented the constituency of Mecklenburg-Schwerin 5 (Rostock / Doberan) in the German Reichstag from 1871 to 1873 and 1887 to 1890 . From 1878 to 1884, 1890 to 1893 and 1898 to 1906 he was elected to the German Reichstag in the constituency of Mecklenburg-Schwerin 2 (Schwerin / Wismar). During this time he belonged to the National Liberals.

A marble bust from Büsing modeled by Ludwig Brunow in 1907 has been in the Schwerin State Museum since 1932.
