Otto Lauckert

Otto Lauckert (born August 8, 1887 in Röthen near Göhrde , † February 8, 1954 in Hanover ) was a German government councilor and historian . Among other things, he did research in the field of field names .

Life

Otto Lauckert studied history and in 1927 published a text on Marienwerder and the monastery church of the same name , which was published in several versions at the same time as the one on the history of the Hanover district of Stöcken . His work on the prehistory of Lower Saxony , which he revised for use in schools based on the book by Karl Hermann Jacob-Friesen , was also published several times. From 1928/1929 Lauckert took over the chairmanship of the “FIN Committee of the NAfH”, whereby he did not work in the field name collection himself, but motivated other teachers to collaborate.

After Otto Lauckert initially held the position of deputy headmaster at the then elementary school in Stöcken during the Weimar Republic , in the 1930s he also wrote articles on local history in daily newspapers as a teacher and then director of the school .

After the Second World War , Otto Lauckert started teaching teacher training in 1946 with the approval of the British military authorities . In previously by the Nazis banned Masonic Lodge to Ceder , which could be built in 1948 again, Lauckert was under the registration number 1497 was added.

In 1950 Otto Lauckert was appointed member of the government.
