Otto Rudolf Braun

Otto Rudolf Braun (born September 6, 1931 in Vienna ; † April 6, 2016 there ) was an Austrian author and convicted murderer.

Otto Rudolf Braun studied history and languages . His published non-fiction books and novels deal with topics such as National Socialism , myths and Germanism . Braun had a previous conviction for theft and relapse theft, fraud , embezzlement and receiving stolen goods and was sentenced to several years in prison. Braun later passed a doctoral degree from a “non-existent” university in Tangier that had lasted for years .

He first tried to establish himself in the FPÖ , but was soon expelled from the party because he had neither active nor passive voting rights . He was recruited for the National Democratic Party (NDP) by Norbert Burger (the "Südtirol-Bomber" - name of Spiegel 1970) . As an activist, Otto Rudolf Braun repeatedly "obtained" supporter signatures for elections which turned out to be "illegible", "unbelievable" and "forged", which led to a re-election on October 4, 1970 in the parliamentary elections of March 1, 1970 .

Unemployed and penniless, Otto Rudolf Braun replied to a marriage advertisement from the secretary Erika H. After several meetings, he is said to have stolen 500 schillings from her pocket. On September 23, 1972, the two of them met for the last time at the Anninger in Mödling . Two weeks later the body of Erika H. was discovered and pieces of jewelry from her turned up in the Dorotheum in Vienna . First, volatile, Otto Rudolf Braun was in a house burglary arrested and was the murder of Erika H. are transferred. Otto Rudolf Braun was sentenced to life imprisonment on September 30, 1973. In 1987, after 15 years, he was released from life imprisonment.

Investigators brought Braun as an accomplice of the letter bomb bomber Franz Fuchs . However, no criminal prosecution took place.

Otto Rudolf Braun died in April 2016 and was buried in the Vienna Central Cemetery .
