Otto Schmöle

Otto Siegfried Schmöle (born February 23, 1890 in Frankfurt am Main , † April 12, 1968 in Mondsee ) was a German actor .

Life

He made his debut at the Koblenz Theater in 1910 and then played at the Mannheim National Theater from 1911 to 1915 . From 1915 to 1918 he participated in the war.

In 1919 he continued his stage career at the New Theater in Frankfurt am Main. In 1920 he moved to the Burgtheater in Vienna . From 1925 to 1938 he was a member of the Volkstheater ensemble , after which he returned to the Burgtheater, where he stayed until his death.

In the film he played mostly police officers, directors and other "better men" in supporting roles. In the war film The Last Act , he portrayed the German Colonel General Alfred Jodl .
