Otto Wagner (born April 6, 1831 in Brodenbach , † December 18, 1881 in Cochem ) was a German engineer , entrepreneur and member of parliament .

Life

Otto Wagner was a son of Aegidius Wagner (around 1776–1846), a tax recipient (tax collector) by profession, and his wife Maria Margaretha, b. Utsch (1800-1849). In Cochem he operated a gas factory that was opened in 1863 and was located very close to the railway embankment and the Kaiser Wilhelm tunnel in Briederweg. In the period from 1879 to 1881 he was a deputy member of the provincial parliament 3rd state for the constituencies of Mayen , Andernach , Ahrweiler , Remagen , Sinzig , Cochem , Zell , Traben-Trarbach , Simmern and Kirchberg .

Otto Wagner was married to a daughter of the physician Karl Boost , Mathilde Amalie Boost (1842–1921), and to Clementine W. Keiffenheim in his first marriage since March 21, 1865 in Cochem .
