Ouaka is a prefecture of the Central African Republic with the capital Bambari .

The prefecture is located in the central south of the country and borders in the north with the prefecture Bamingui-Bangoran , in the south with the Democratic Republic of Congo , in the north-west with the prefecture Nana-Grébizi , in the south-west with the prefecture Kémo , in the north-east with the prefecture Haute- Kotto and to the southeast to the prefecture of Basse-Kotto .
