Ouddorp is a place on the island of Goeree-Overflakkee in South Holland ( Dutch Zuid-Holland ). Politically it formed an independent municipality until 1966, after which it belonged to the municipality of Goedereede . Since January 1st, 2013 it belongs to the Goeree-Overflakkee community. Ouddorp has about 6,000 inhabitants and is located about ten kilometers north of Renesse in the province of South Holland. In the center is the Gothic village church of Sint Maarten . Many of Ouddorp's residents are members of the Restored Reformed Church .

Many Dutch and German tourists visit the place because of its location by the sea. The Port Zelande holiday park of the Dutch Center Parcs chain , which is located on Brouwersdam , part of the Delta Works , deserves special mention . In addition, Ouddorp has become a popular place for windsurfers who cavort in the up to three meter high and cleanly breaking waves on the sandbank about two kilometers off the coast. A meeting point for beach buggy drivers is the stretch of beach in front of the Westhoofd lighthouse (Dutch: Vuurtoren Westhoofd ), which is reserved for this sport. Bungalow parks and private holiday homes as well as several campsites (some with a large proportion of permanent campers) offer accommodation. Overnight stays in vehicles, tents, etc. outside the campsites and bungalow parks are prohibited in the entire region.
