regulate
First there are 2 triplets , of which at least one must be a mixte . This is followed by 3 doublets, then again 2 triplets, each with Mixte compulsion. So there are 7 games. So to win, four games must be won.
It can be exchanged once in each doublet or triplet, whereby the mixte formation must be retained. Otherwise, the pétanque rules apply .
In the preliminary rounds, the participants qualify for the final round with four teams. This is played as a poule. This means that first two teams play against each other, then the winning and losing teams. The loser of the winning game and the winner of the losing game play against each other in a so-called barrage . Losing the Barrage takes 3rd place. The two teams with two wins (winner winning game, winner Barrage) contest the final.
Starting in 2014, the eight participants in the final round will be determined in four preliminary round groups. From two intermediate round groups, the two best teams in the group qualify for the semi-finals. In a final of the two winners, the European Cup winner will be determined.
