Péter Kropkó (born September 1, 1963 in Miskolc ) is a former Hungarian duathlete and triathlete .

Career

Kropkó has been participating in Ironman competitions since 1988 and was the first Hungarian to qualify for the World Championship in Hawaii ( Ironman Hawaii ) at the first Ironman Europe in Roth . In 1995 he became vice-European champion on the short distance duathlon.

At almost 41 years of age, Kropkó won a long-distance triathlon in Japan in July 2004. Péter Kropkó was able to finish an Ironman over the long distance as the winner five times (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running). He has not appeared internationally since 2015.

He lives in Budapest with his wife . Their children, Márta (* 2003), Marci and the younger twin children are also active in the triathlon.
