Urs Dellsperger
Urs Dellsperger (born September 15, 1963 in Bern ) is a former Swiss duathlete , multiple European duathlon champion (1993–1996) and two-time ITU world duathlon champion (1995, 1997).
Career
Urs Dellsperger only started duathlon when he was 27. From 1993 to 1996 he was able to secure the title of European Duathlon Champion for four years in a row.
Duathlon world champion in 1995 and 1997
In 1995 he won the title of Duathlon World Champion on the long distance and was able to repeat this title again in 1997.
The 27-year-old ended his professional career in 2000. Dellsperger started as an age group athlete. He became world champion Duathlon M40-44 in 2007 and in Zofingen he surprised with fourth place at the world championship on the long distance. In September 2008 he became Duathlon World Champion in Italy in the M45-49 age group.
He lives in Freiburg .
