Péter Orosz [ ˈpeːtɛr ˈoros ] (born August 19, 1981 ) is a Hungarian football player .

Career

The trained striker played for Vasas at the beginning of his career until he went to Austria and initially played for 1. Saalfeldner SK and ASVÖ FC Puch . In summer 2005 he then moved to the amateurs of FC Red Bull Salzburg . After he was able to draw attention to himself with goals in the Austrian regional league , he was also considered for the professional division by the new coaching team Giovanni Trapattoni and Lothar Matthäus in the 2006/07 season and came to a total of six short appearances in the Bundesliga and was allowed a half-time in the Champions League qualifiers against FC Valencia accrue.

The 2007/08 season he played in the Bundesliga at FC Wacker Innsbruck , but was relegated. Nevertheless, he was considered for three games in the Hungarian national team . At the beginning of the 2008/09 season he moved to the Greek club OFI Crete . After only half a year he left Crete and stints in Hungary with Vasas Budapest and Lombard Pápa followed . For the 2011/2012 season he returned to Austria and played 15 games for Pasching, but only scored 6 times. After the poor performance, his contract was terminated in December 2011. After terminating his contract on January 11, 2012, he moved to SK Vorwärts Steyr. In the Regionalliga Mitte he scored five goals for Steyr in the remaining 13 games. On July 6, 2012, he announced his move to FC Rohrendorf / Gedersdorf and was sorted out there in winter 2012. After his demotion at FC Rohrendorf, he moved to the regional league for Union Vöcklamarkt in January 2013 . In January 2017 Orosz moved to the District League South for ASKÖ Vorchdorf. In the game on April 21, 2017, he scored five goals in a 7-0 win against Union Regau and was nicknamed Peter “the Great” by the press. In the 2016/2017 season, the ASKÖ Vorchdorf team won promotion to the Upper Austrian Regional League West with 13 goals in ten games .

National team

In the spring of 2008 he was used three times in friendly matches of the Hungarian national team : on March 26th against Slovenia , on May 24th against Greece and on May 31st against Croatia .
