Püppi

Püppi (* 9. October 2000 in Cologne , † 18 October 2011 ibid) was a Pomeranian - Chihuahua - mixed breed dog by the TV show Stratmanns of Ludger Stratmann became known.

Life

Püppi belonged to a man who became unemployed in 1998, who became homeless and tried to keep his head above water by selling a street newspaper . The WDR television became aware of the bitch and engaged her for the show "Stratmanns" by the cabaret artist Ludger Stratmann. She became a Cologne celebrity and met celebrities, including Richard von Weizsäcker , Oliver Pocher and his wife Alessandra , Wolfgang Joop and Peter Maffay, as well as football stars such as Wolfgang Overath and Christoph Daum . However, Daum did not agree that Püppi's owner had postcards printed by him and the dog in 2007, which were provided with a text that did not suit Daum.

Püppi became a media darling and featured on the covers of national magazines such as Chrismon and Neue Woche .

The bitch also appeared in performances at the Cologne Opera , for example in 2007 in the staging of the opera burlesque X-mal Rembrandt , which was performed in the Wallraf-Richartz Museum , and most recently on October 17, 2011 in the performance of La traviata .

18 October 2011 its owner had the dog for a cancer to sleep . In the Stratmanns show after her death, her photo was shown with a black ribbon .
