Přemysl Hainý (born December 18, 1925 in Prague , Czechoslovakia , † October 24, 1993 ) was a Czech ice hockey player and coach .
Career
Přemysl Hainý began his career as a hockey player with SK Viktoria Malý Břevnov , for which he was active from 1940 to 1943. He then spent three years at Slavia Prague before he ran up from 1946 to 1948 for LTC Prague from the 1st division , the highest Czechoslovak division. With the LTC he won the national championship title in 1947 and 1948 . From 1948 to 1950 he ran for ATK Prague and also won the championship title with the team in the 1949/50 season. Due to an allegedly planned escape from Czechoslovakia, he received a one-year prison sentence. After he had served this, he played in the 1951/52 season for Baník SONP Kladno from the 1st division. From 1952 to 1956 he was on the ice for Tatra Smíchov before he also played for his former club from Kladno for four years. He last appeared in the 1961/62 season for the TJ Ruzyň .
Hainý initially worked as a trainer for ČSA Ruzyně from 1962 to 1965 . He then spent three seasons with Genève-Servette HC from Switzerland before he was in charge of Sparta ČKD Prague from 1969 to 1972 . In the 1973/74 season he was the head coach of Veronika Den Haag in the Dutch Eredivisie . Most recently he was behind the gang at HDD Olimpija Ljubljana from 1975 to 1978 .
International
For Czechoslovakia , Hainý took part in the 1948 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz and the 1949 World Cup. At the 1948 Winter Games he and his team won the silver medal and the gold medal at the 1949 World Cup. At both tournaments, Czechoslovakia was also the best European team and also became European champions. He scored seven goals in 27 international matches.
