The 1951/52 season of the first division was the ninth regular staging of the top ice hockey division in Czechoslovakia . With eight points in the final tournament, the ZSJ Vítkovické železárny narrowly prevailed due to the better goal difference against the ATK Prague . For the team from Vítkovice it was their first Czechoslovak championship title .

mode

In contrast to the previous season, the main round was held in three different groups with six participants each. Due to the implementation of two-legged matches within the groups, the total number of games per team in the main round was ten games. The two best teams in each group qualified for the final tournament, which was played in a simple round and the winners became champions.

The best goal scorers of the league were together Oldřich Seiml from master ZSJ Vítkovické železárny and Miroslav Kluc from ZSJ Hutě Chomutov, who each scored 23 goals in their team's 15 games.
