The league was played in a common main round of all teams. Due to the implementation of the first and second leg across the league, the total number of games per team in the main round was 14 games. Champion became the main round first. The plan was to relegate the teams to places seven and eight, but since it was decided to increase the league to a total of 18 teams during the season, no team was relegated.
