The 1974/75 season of the first division was the 32nd regular staging of the top ice hockey division in Czechoslovakia . SONP Kladno prevailed with 62 points . For the team it was their second Czechoslovak championship title .
mode
As in the previous season, the league was played with twelve teams. Since each team played two home and two away games against each group opponent, the total number of games per team was 44 games. Champion became the winner of the main round. The bottom of the table was relegated directly to the respective national championship.

The winners of the Czech and Slovak 2nd division groups competed against each other in a best-of-seven series for promotion to the 1st division for the following season. The Czech representative Ingstav Brno prevailed.
