The pabsA snooker America Cup in 2019 was a snooker tournament , which from January 30 to February 3, 2019 in Q Ball Snooker & Pool in Houston , Texas took place. It was the first edition of the American Championship organized by the newly formed Pan American Billiards and Snooker Association .

The American champion was the Brazilian Igor Figueiredo , who won the final 6-1 against Renat Denkha from the United States. Figueiredo thus qualified for the Main Tour seasons 2019/20 and 2020/21 . The reigning US champion Ahmed Aly Elsayed played the highest break of the tournament with 99 points in his round of 16 against his compatriot Blaine Barcus .

mode

A total of 48 players from Bermuda, Canada, Brazil and the United States registered for the tournament. The American Corey Deuel did not take part.

The players were divided into eight groups of six players each, in which they competed against each other in round robin mode . The top three in each group qualified for the final round, which was played in the knockout system , with the eight group winners receiving a bye.
