The Prignitzer Kreiskleinbahnen Nr. 18 and 19 were two three-axle narrow - gauge tank locomotives of the Kleinbahnen of the Ost- and Westprignitz districts .

history

In 1914 , Henschel supplied two locomotives for the growing network of small railways in the Ost- and Westprignitz districts, one for the Kyritz-Hoppenrade-Breddin small railway (No. 18) and one for the Perleberg-Hoppenrade small railway (No. 19). From 1941 they had numbers of the Brandenburg State Traffic Office 07-23 and 08-20. The first locomotive had to be returned in 1945 as a reparation payment , the second remained on the original route and was taken over by the Deutsche Reichsbahn with the number 99 4701 in 1949. This locomotive was reconstructed in the early 1960s before it was retired in 1970. Then it served as a steam dispenser in a concrete factory in Wöllstein . The locomotive has been preserved as a memorial.

technical features

The locomotives had an inner frame, they had Heusinger controls, and the third axle was driven. During the reconstruction, the 99 4701 received a new boiler, the driver's cab was enlarged and modernized, and the coal box was placed at the rear of the driver's cab. The wheel flanges of the middle wheel set were weakened in order to achieve better arc flexibility .
