Pacheco Pass AVA (recognized since March 12, 1984) is a wine-growing region in the US state of California . The area is within the administrative divisions of Santa Clara County and San Benito County . The region is part of the parent Central Coast AVA and San Francisco Bay AVA . The Pacheco Pass is a 15 miles long corridor with the San Francisco Bay Area to the west and the San Joaquin Valley to the east.

The California State Route 152 runs right through the vineyards. Pacheco Pass received the status of an American Viticultural Area on the initiative of the Zanger family, who to this day are the only wineries in the region that operate Zanger Vineyards .
