The Pacific Responder is an anchor - handling tug sailing under the flag of Singapore .

details

The Pacific Responder was built in 2006 under construction number 164 at the Indonesian shipyard PT Pan-United Shipyard Indonesia. The keel was laid on May 18, 2005, the launch on April 30, 2006. The tractor was completed on August 1, 2006.

The tug was available to the Australian Maritime Safety Authority from 2006 to 2014 and was part of the Australian emergency towing concept . During that time he sailed under the Australian flag and was stationed in Cairns . Cairns was also the ship's home port . The area of ​​operation included the Torres Strait and the Great Barrier Reef .

Technology and equipment

The ship is powered by diesel mechanics via two Bergen diesel engines , each with an output of 2,610  kW , which act on two variable pitch propellers with Kort nozzles via reduction gears . The ship also has two bow thrusters and one stern thruster, each with an output of 500 kW. Two shaft generators ( apparent power : 1,600  kVA ) as well as a diesel generator and an emergency generator (apparent power 338 kVA each) are available for the power supply.

The ship reaches a maximum speed of 15.5  knots . By means of the dynamic positioning (DP) which can Pacific Responder maintain its position even under adverse weather and flow conditions. The bollard pull is given as 82  tons . There are three extinguishing monitors available for fire fighting , which are installed on the deckhouse .

The superstructures are in the front part of the ship. Behind the superstructure is a 408 m² open working deck that can be loaded with up to 10 t / m². There is a crane on the port side .

36 beds are available on board, divided into four single cabins, ten twin cabins (including the hospital) and three four-bed cabins.
