Pagador is a town in the Oruro department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .

Location in the vicinity

Pagador is the central place of the canton Pagador in the district ( Bolivian : Municipio ) Sabaya in the province of Sabaya . The village is located at an altitude of 3694  m near the border with Chile , about fifteen kilometers east of the Chilean border town Colchane . Pagador is halfway between the salt lake Salar de Coipasa, fifteen kilometers to the southeast, and the northwestern peaks of Cerro Cabaraya (5886 m) and Cerro Separaya (5571 m).

Pagador is on the edge of the Bolivian Altiplano , which is bounded here to the west by the Cordillera Occidental .
