Ancaravi is a town in the Oruro department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
Ancaravi is a village in the municipality of Corque in the province of Carangas . Ancaravi lies at an altitude of 3813 m above sea level on the Bolivian Altiplano at the southwestern end of the Serranía de Huayllamarca .

The climate of the Ancaravi region is semi-arid and has a short rainy season in summer, the annual precipitation is almost 300 mm (see Turco climate diagram). From Oruro, the unpaved national road Ruta 12 leads via Toledo to Ancaravi and on via Opoqueri , Huachacalla and Pisiga on the Chilean border to Colchane in Chile .
After overcoming the southern foothills of the Serranía de Huayllamarca, Ancaravi is the first village on the edge of the large plain that adjoins it to the west, here the national road Ruta 27 branches off from Ruta 12 to the northwest and leads via Turco to Cosapa .
