The Municipio Corque is a district in the Oruro department in the highlands of the South American Andean state of Bolivia .
Location in the vicinity
The Municipio Corque is one of two Municipios in the Carangas Province . It borders in the north with the province of Nor Carangas , in the north-west with the municipality Choquecota , in the west with the province Sajama , in the south and southeast with the province Sud Carangas , and in the east with the province Saucarí .
The central place of the municipality is Corque with 1000 inhabitants ( 2012 census ) in the northeastern part of the district.
geography
The municipality Corque is located in the southern part of the mountain range of the Serranía de Huayllamarca in the Andean dry climate of the Altiplano , between the mountain ranges of the Cordillera Oriental and the Cordillera Occidental . The climate of the region is typical of the time of day , with temperatures fluctuating more during the day than during the year.
The annual average temperature is a good 7 ° C (see climate diagram), the monthly average values fluctuate between 3 ° C in June / July and around 10 ° C from December to February. The mean annual precipitation is almost 300 mm and 80 percent falls in the months of December to March, the rest of the year is arid with monthly values of less than 15 mm.
