Paladru is a town and commune Déléguée in the French community Villages du Paladru with 1,234 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes .

With effect from January 1, 2017, the former municipalities of Paladru and Le Pin were merged to form Commune nouvelle Villages-du-Lac-de-Paladru. The municipality of Paladru was part of the arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin and the canton of Le Grand-Lemps (until 2015: canton of Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine ).

Paladru is about 64 kilometers east-southeast of Lyon . The Lac de Paladru lies in the southeastern part of the area . Paladru is surrounded by the neighboring towns of Valencogne in the north, Saint-Ondras in the north, Charancieu in the northeast, Montferrat in the east and Le Pin in the south.
