The Palais is a river in France that runs in the Gironde department in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region . It rises under the name Ruisseau de Ratut on the municipal boundary of Francs and Saint-Cibard , drains generally in a north-westerly direction, reaches the Isle of the valley at Abzac and approaches the river at around 300 meters. However, while this draws a mighty loop to the north, the palace maintains its direction and only flows into the Isle as a left tributary after 24 kilometers at the municipal boundary of Sablons and Saint-Denis-de-Pile .
