Pallottihaus (Vienna)
The Pallottihaus is a Roman Catholic educational center with a chapel for Maria, Queen of the Apostles in the 13th district of Hietzing in Vienna at Auhofstraße 10.
In 1950 the Order of the Pallottines bought buildings in Auhofstrasse, and from 1959 to 1960 an educational center with an integrated chapel was built there according to the plans of the architect Robert Kramreiter . The main facade with a three-dimensional representation of the Pentecostal miracle is presented on the left with a bell cage with a double gable roof. The choir of the chapel is lit through a large concrete glass window based on a design by Kramreiter and executed by Hans Zeiler. The bell cage houses a side chapel of the choir in the basement. A large enamel cross as well as a stone relief and wood carvings are by Franz Barwig the Younger . The mechanical slide box organ from 1983 was built by the Walcker organ builder and has 11 stops on 2 manuals and a pedal .
