Paolo Rabitti (born October 28, 1936 in Castellarano , Province of Modena , Italy ) is retired Archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio .

Life

Paolo Rabitti was ordained a priest on October 30, 1960 and was incardinated in the clergy of the Archdiocese of Bologna .

Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of San Marino-Montefeltro on May 25, 1995 . The Archbishop of Bologna, Giacomo Cardinal Biffi , donated him episcopal ordination on June 24th of the same year ; Co- consecrators were Archbishop Francesco Marchisano and Mariano De Nicolò , Bishop of Rimini . On July 2, 2004, he was appointed Archbishop of Ferrara-Comacchio, and on July 8 of the same year he was appointed to the office.

On December 1, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
