Paradox ( own spelling PARADOX ) is a free Austrian music magazine from Graz . The magazine appears every six months and deals with the contemporary music scene from Austria .

Content and concept

The aim of Paradox is to report on the contemporary music scene from Austria, both externally through authors and internally through musicians in the form of articles, cover stories , essays , interviews and reports on mostly young Austrian artists. Julia Nestler and Georg Zsifkovits act as editors-in-chief . You work with a team of around thirty editors, photographers and cameramen. In terms of content, the magazine is dedicated to the genres of rock , metal , hip-hop , electro and pop . In the last editions of Paradox u. a. Articles about Yasmin Hafedh , Mefjus , Farewell Dear Ghost , Wanda , Cannonball Ride , Johann Sebastian Bass , Julian le Play , Joshi Mizu , Folkshilfe , Olympique or The Uptown Monotones . The magazine appeared for the first time in June 2015 and, according to an independent scientific study by the Bundeshandelsakademie Oberpullendorf and the magazine Der Standard , has a circulation of around 200,000 printed copies and is available in all nine federal states as a free copy in various private and public institutions, including at the Institute for Musicology Graz , the University of Graz or the University of Music Vienna . The target group are young readers between 18 and 35 years of age.
