The 111th Paris – Tours 2017 was a French road bike race with start in Brou and finish on Avenue de Grammont in Tours after 234.5 km . It took place on Sunday , October 8th, 2017 . It was also part of the UCI Europe Tour 2017 and classified in the 1st HC category.
The winner in the three-man sprint was Italian Matteo Trentin from Quick-Step Floors ahead of Søren Kragh Andersen from Denmark from Team Sunweb .

route
The start took place in Brou and up to about nine kilometers from the finish the route was slightly hilly to flat. This is followed by the Cote de Beau Soleil (85 meters above sea level / 700 meters long / an average of 5.4 percent steep) and the Cote de l'Epan (84 m above sea level / 400 meters long / an average of 5 percent ) one after the other within two kilometers steep). Then after a short descent it goes flat towards the destination in Tours .
Race course
A few kilometers after the start, Michael Goolaerts (Belgium / Verandas Willems), Lawrence Naesen (Belgium / WB Veranclassic), Romain Combaud (France / Delko), Stéphane Poulhies (France / Armée de Terre) and Brian van Goethem (Netherlands / Roompot) ) from the field and pull out a lead of almost six minutes. On the Cote de Beau Soleil , van Goethem and Naesen were the last outliers.
After catching up, Matteo Trentin (Italy / Quick Step) attacked with five other drivers on the same slope . In the Cote de l`Epan, Trentin increased the pace again. Only team mates Niki Terpstra (Netherlands) and Søren Kragh Andersen (Denmark / Sunweb) could follow him there. After the group was no longer caught by the next group, there was a three-man sprint. This won after preliminary work by his team-mate Trentin ahead of Kragh Andersen. Terpstra was third. André Greipel (Germany / Lotto Soudal) won the sprunt of the next group, seven seconds behind, and finished fourth.
