Daniel Oss (born January 13, 1987 in Trento ) is an Italian racing cyclist .

Athletic career

As a junior, Daniel Oss was particularly successful in track cycling . In 2004 he was the Italian junior champion in the individual and team pursuit . At the European Junior Championships, he won the bronze medal in the team sprint . In the same year he was Italian runner-up in the individual time trial of the junior class on the road .

After Oss was in the U23 class at the Italian time trial championships in 2008, he signed his first professional contract with the Italian ProTeam Liquigas for the year . His first major success came at the Giro del Veneto in 2010, which he won ahead of his teammate Peter Sagan , who was the only one who was able to follow him after an attack 1500 before the finish. In 2014 Oss became world champion in the team time trial with the BMC Racing Team . Two years later, the team with Oss became vice world champion in the team time trial.

He switched from BMC to Bora-Hansgrohe for the 2018 season .
