Surname
According to a legend, the name of the village is based on Napoleon , who came through the village during the Russian campaign in 1812 and said that it looked like Parysch. People were happy to accept that. According to another version, a noble landlord gave the village this name on a whim.
In 1973, Parysch was united with a neighboring village and renamed Nawadruzk. In 2006, the village got its historical name back.
