Pat Daniels

Pat Daniels ( Billie Jo Patricia Daniels, first marriage Winslow, second marriage Bank, third marriage Connolly; born September 1, 1943 in Santa Monica ) is a former American pentathlete , middle distance runner and long jumper .

Career

At the Olympic Games in Rome in 1960 she was disqualified in the 800-meter run in the preliminary run. In 1964 in Tokyo she was seventh in the pentathlon.

Also in the pentathlon, she won the Pan American Games in Winnipeg in 1967 and was sixth at the 1968 Olympic Games in Mexico City.

Eight times she was US champion in pentathlon (1961-1967, 1970), twice over 800 m or 880 yards (1960, 1961) and once in the long jump (1967).

Her third marriage was to Olympic hammer throw champion Hal Connolly . In the 1980s, she coached the Olympic Sprint Champion Evelyn Ashford .
