Patrick Michael West (born February 21, 1923 in Florence , Pennsylvania , USA - † February 7, 1996 ) was an American American football player . He played as a fullback in the National Football League (NFL) with the Cleveland / Los Angeles Rams and the Green Bay Packers .

Player career

After graduating from high school, Pat West studied at the University of Pittsburgh and the University of Southern California . In 1945 West first played with the Los Angeles Bulldogs in the Pacific Coast Professional Football League (PCFL). After the Cleveland Rams in the 28th round of 290 office drafted was, he joined the team from Cleveland to. Together with quarterback Bob Waterfield and wide receiver Jim Benton , he was used as a fullback in the offense of the team. In his rookie year , he won the NFL championship with the Rams.
