Patrick Kujala

Patrick Kujala (born May 15, 1996 in Marbella , Spain ) is a Finnish racing driver . He started in the GP3 series in 2013 and 2014 .

Career

Kujala began his motorsport career in 2007 in karting in Spain, where he remained active until 2009. In 2011, Kujala decided to switch to formula racing . He started in the French F4 championship and finished fifth in his debut season. In 2011 he moved to Koiranen Motorsport in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . With a fifth place as the best result, he finished the season in 23rd place in the drivers' standings. Kujala was more successful for Koiranen Motorsport, starting in the Alpine Formula Renault . There he regularly drove into the points and reached sixth place overall.

For the 2013 season Kujala was signed by Koiranen for their new racing team in the GP3 series . While his teammates Kevin Korjus and Aaro Vainio finished seventh and ninth with podium finishes, Kujala finished his debut season with eighth place as the best result in 20th place overall. In 2014 , Kujala switched to Marussia Manor Racing within the GP3 series . A fourth place at the season opener was his best result. Before the last two events, Manor stopped racing. Kujala switched to Trident Racing at short notice and contested the last races for this team. Kujala improved to 14th place in the drivers' standings.
