Patrick Vernay (born October 24, 1973 in Nouméa ) is a former French triathlete and multiple Ironman winner. He is included in the best list of French triathletes on the Ironman distance .

Career

In 1992, Patrick Vernay started for the first time in the Junior Triathlon World Championship.

Long distance triathlon since 2001

Later he switched to the long distance.

In 2006 he was sixth at the ITU World Championship on the long distance and in 2008 at the Ironman Hawaii .

He won the Ironman Australia (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) from 2007 to 2010 four times in a row in Port Macquarie on the Australian east coast . In 2011 he finished second here.

He has not appeared internationally since 2011.

The New Caledonian lives with his wife and child in his native Nouméa.
