Gilles Reboul (born April 15, 1969 in Bourg-en-Bresse ) is a former French triathlete and two-time national champion (1999 middle distance, 2001 long distance).

Career

Reboul started triathlon in 1986 after having been active in swimming and diving in his youth. In 1998 he started for the first time at the ITU World Championship on the long distance and finished eighth in Japan.

In 1999 he became national champion in the triathlon middle distance.

Winner of the Triathlon International de Nice 2001

In September 2001 he was able to win the “Triathlon International de Nice” (previous event of Ironman France : 3 km swimming, 120 km cycling and 32 km running) on the long distance in Nice and thus became national champion.

In 2002, 2004 and 2006 he was triathlon world champion with the French team and in 2008 also European champion on the long distance. In 2012 he became Champion de France Masters . In June 2013, Gilles Reboul was runner-up in the long-distance triathlon in the age group 40-44. He has not appeared internationally since 2013.

Gilles Reboul lives in Dijon with his wife and three children .
