action

The homosexual couple Sven and Göran move to a suburb and are greeted warmly after their inauguration ceremony. Otherwise, the two men are doing pretty well, after all, they are successful at work, financially secure and can fulfill their material dreams. They just miss something in life - a baby. While talking to other married couples at this party, they decide to adopt one. Although they are married and have a certain standard of living, they are permanently denied adoption because of their sexuality. When they almost give up hope, the opportunity arises to adopt a Swedish orphan named Patrik, to whom they agree without hesitation. Unfortunately, a small error crept into the papers. Patrik is not 1.5 years old, but at the prime of puberty at 15. The future parents are shocked to see not only an emotionally troubled teenager in front of them, but also one with a criminal past.

Both of them hurriedly to the adoption agency, but they only assure that it would take a while to fix this error, at least a week. In the following days Sven is more and more appalled by Patrik's insulting behavior, while Göran sees the good in him. Patrik himself is afraid of the two men because he believes the stereotype that every homosexual is also a pedophile . After the agency finally finds time to deal with the case, all three present. There, however, the three are only given one choice, either he stays with his current family or goes back to the care center. After Göran doesn't have the heart to send Patrik back, Sven leaves him in disgust, after all Patrik has not only messed up their life together, but downright disrupted it. Göran agrees to take care of Patrik until the agency has found a suitable family for Patrik. During the next few days he discovered Patrik's talent for gardening and they both began to accept each other.

After a few weeks, Patrik had long since put away his fears and prejudices. The agency gets in touch and reports that they have found a suitable family for him. Sven also returns, as he has realized that the argument wasn't worth it to break his relationship with Göran. A short time later, his new father picks him up and Patrik leaves his beloved home. But he shouldn't stay away for long, because soon after he is back on the mat and decides to live with Sven and Göran.
