Patrik Borger (born January 19, 1979 in Kiel ) is a German soccer goalkeeper .

Player career

Borger initially played at Fortuna Stampe, TSV Kronshagen and Suchsdorfer SV, from July 2000 to June 2003 at TSV Altenholz , and then to guard the goal at VfR Neumünster in the Regionalliga Nord until June 2005 . The 197 cm tall goalkeeper then moved to FC St. Pauli, where he initially played for the second team in the Oberliga Nord . Since September 2, 2006, the trained industrial clerk has been the goalkeeper of the first team.

In the Regionalliga-Nord 2006/07 season , Borger rose to the 2nd Bundesliga with FC St. Pauli after he had not conceded a goal in 17 games . In April 2008 Borger lost his regular place to Benedikt Pliquett , but at the same time he extended his current contract by two years until June 2010. In summer 2010, Bundesliga promoted FC St. Pauli no longer extended his contract and Borger left the club.

On June 30, 2011 he ended his professional career and one day later signed a contract with TSV Schilksee, a district club in Kiel.

He has been a goalkeeping coach at Holstein Kiel since 2015.
