Patrik Džalto (born February 19, 1997 in Reutlingen , Germany ) is a Croatian soccer player who also has German citizenship .
Career
Patrik Džalto was born in Reutlingen , Baden-Württemberg . He began his career at the age of six with two regional clubs - including VfL in neighboring Pfullingen - with which he stayed until 2004. He then moved to his hometown for the first time for SSV Reutlingen 05 , for which he played six years as a youth. In 2010 he went to the youth department of VfB Stuttgart . There he was too young for the football boarding school at the age of 13 and the constant trips to trainings and games were complex, so that he returned to SSV Reutlingen 05 in 2011. After a year there, he left Baden-Württemberg and came to 1. FC Kaiserslautern in 2012 , where he finally moved into the youth training center. In Kaiserslautern he also only played a year and then went to RB Leipzig . After two years in Saxony , Džalto moved to the youth team of Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen , who reacted to the injuries of the strikers in the U-19 squad with his commitment. On February 16, 2016, he received his first professional contract in Leverkusen and joined the club until the end of June 2018.
Also due to injuries and suspension of the regular strikers, Džalto was in the professional squad of Leverkusen for the first time on March 5, 2016 (25th matchday of the 2015/16 Bundesliga season ) in Augsburg , but was not used.
For the 2016/17 season , Džalto was loaned to third division club SSV Jahn Regensburg . On July 30, 2016 he made his third division and competitive game debut when he came on as a substitute for Kolja Pusch in stoppage time in Regensburg's 2-0 win against Hansa Rostock .
At the end of June 2017, Džalto terminated his employment relationship in Leverkusen and received a one-year contract in Regensburg. However, after he had not played as hoped in the first half of 2017/18, Dzalto moved to the second half of 2017/18 in the Regionalliga Südwest and signed a five-month contract with TuS Koblenz . At the beginning of the 2018/19 season, Džalto moved to regional league club FC Memmingen , where he signed a one-year contract. In January 2019, he terminated his contract with Memmingen.
He then moved to the Austrian second division SK Austria Klagenfurt in February 2019 . After the 2018/19 season, he left Klagenfurt. After several months without a club, he moved to Croatia in March 2020 to the lower class NK Vukovar '91 .
