Dorsch comes from an extended family of eight; she learned to ski at the age of two. Her talent was recognized early on and promoted at SC Schellenberg, and in 2009 she was appointed to the D / C team. As a 15-year-old she competed in FIS races for the first time in December 2010 . In 2011 she was a participant of the European Youth Olympic Festival in Liberec , but was eliminated in both slalom and giant slalom. In the same year, she successfully completed her school career at the Berchtesgaden grammar school with a high school diploma and began training as a police officer with the federal police in 2012 .
In February 2012 Dorsch had her first appearance in the European Cup , in February of the same year she became German giant slalom junior champion. Finally, in March 2012, the first victory in an FIS race followed. In January 2013, another junior championship was added in the Super-G discipline. At the Junior World Championships she won the bronze medal in the team competition in both 2013 and 2014. She made her debut in the World Cup on December 14, 2013 in the Super-G in St. Moritz , where she finished 46th.
Dorsch has been training in the course group la of the German Ski Association since spring 2015. She won her first World Cup points on December 4th, 2015 with 28th place in the Downhill from Lake Louise . Her best World Cup result so far is a fifth place, achieved in the combination of Crans-Montana on February 24, 2019.
