Paul Schneider Community Center
The evangelical community center Paul Schneider , named after Paul Schneider , built between 1957 and 1967, is located at Belßstraße 88 in the Berlin district of Lankwitz in what is now the Steglitz-Zehlendorf district .
history
Since 1955, the parishioners of the southern part of Lankwitz have gathered for church services in the Luther chapel of the Luther cemetery on Malteserstraße . Between 1957 and 1958, Hans Wolff-Grohmann built a community home with a church in the post-war modernist architectural style for the “Lankwitz-Ost” part of the community, which was inaugurated on September 14, 1958 under the name “Paul-Schneider-Gemeindeheim”. With the division of the Lankwitz parish in 1963, the Paul Schneider parish became independent. Since December 1, 2012, it has formed a parish with the Evangelical Trinity Church Congregation, the Evangelical Dietrich Bonhoeffer Church Congregation and the Evangelical Village Church Congregation.
Building description

Somewhat apart, a daycare center was built between 1965 and 1967, planned by the architect Werner Weber .
The Campanile is a reinforced concrete skeleton structure on a square floor plan, which was supplemented in 1960 together with the youth center.
