Paul Darmanin

Paul Darmanin OFMCap (born November 6, 1940 in Santa Venera , Malta ) is a Maltese religious and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Garissa in eastern Kenya .

Life

Paul Darmanin entered the religious order of the Capuchin and received on 25 March 1966, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On February 3, 1984 appointed him Pope John Paul II. To the Bishop of Garissa . The Archbishop of Malta , Joseph Mercieca , gave him episcopal ordination on June 3 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Cardiff , John Aloysius Ward, OFMCap, and the Bishop of Marsi , Biagio Vittorio Terrinoni, OFMCap.

Pope Francis accepted his age-related resignation on December 8, 2015.
