Paul Halbhuber

Paul Halbhuber (* 1909 in Dresden ; † 1995 in Bremen ) was a German sculptor who is represented with many works in Bremen.

biography

1958: Neptune in front of the seafaring school

Halbhuber studied art in Berlin. He then worked for years as an assistant at the Bremen Art School . In 1958, he and other artists founded the New Forum , an association of Bremen artists who organized exhibitions and lectures in Bremen. He also worked as a freelance artist in Bremen. The sculptor preferred bronze as a material , but also worked in stone. His abstract language of forms, mostly stylized figures, is part of the classical modern age . He worked in the 1950s to 1980s.
