Paul Hwang Cheol-soo

Paul Hwang Cheol-soo ( Kor. 황철수 , born April 15, 1953 in Miryang , South Korea ) is a South Korean clergyman and emeritus Roman Catholic Bishop of Pusan .

Life

Paul Hwang Cheol-soo received on 5 February 1983, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On January 17, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI appointed him . the titular bishop of Vicus Pacati and ordered him to auxiliary bishop in Pusan. The Bishop of Pusan, Augustine Cheong Myong-jo , ordained him episcopal on February 24 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Bishop of Masan , Francis Xavier Ahn Myong-ok , and the Bishop of Andong , John Chrisostom Kwon Hyok-ju . On November 21, 2007 Benedict XVI appointed him. to the Bishop of Pusan.

On August 18, 2018, Pope Francis accepted Paul Hwang Cheol-soo's resignation.
