The Roman Catholic Diocese of Busan ( Latin Dioecesis Pusanensis , kor. : 천주교 부산 교구 ) is in South Korea location Roman Catholic diocese based in Busan (Pusan).
history
The diocese of Pusan was on January 21, 1957 by Pope Pius XII. Established with the Apostolic Constitution Quandoquidem novas from cession of territory by the Apostolic Vicariate Taiku as Apostolic Vicariate Pusan . On March 10, 1962, the Apostolic Vicariate Pusan was by Pope John XXIII. raised to a diocese with the Apostolic Constitution Fertile Evangelii and subordinated to the Archdiocese of Daegu as a suffragan . On February 15, 1966, the diocese of Pusan gave parts of its territory to establish the diocese of Masan .
