Paul Schädler

Paul Schädler (born March 24, 1930 in Zeltingen ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life

Schadler grew up in Zeltingen and studied law and political science at the Johannes Gutenberg University in Mainz . In 1961/62 he was a government assessor at the Worms district office and then personal advisor to the Rhineland-Palatinate interior minister , August Wolters . In 1967 he received his doctorate. In the same year he became district administrator of the district Landau . Since the district was dissolved two years later, he moved to the Ludwigshafen district as district administrator , where he was committed to combating the gnat plague . There he held office until 1983. At the same time, in 1974 he became chairman of the Rhine-Neckar regional planning associationand 1980 chairman of the Rhineland-Palatinate district council . From 1983 to 1991 Schädler was the district president of Rheinhessen-Pfalz . After retiring from this position, he established himself as a lawyer.

Honors

Schadler received the Cross of Merit 1st Class of the Federal Republic of Germany in 1991 , and the Rhein-Pfalz-Kreis made him its first honorary citizen in 2012.
