Paul Schröder (* 1982 in Anklam ) is a German actor and voice actor .

Life

Schröder attended the Evangelisches Ratsgymnasium . Then studied from 2005 to 2009 at the "Ernst Busch" Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin . His first engagements during his training took him to the Deutsches Theater and das bat Berlin , where he worked with Antú Romero Nunes , among others . They continued this work at the Maxim Gorki Theater with the production “The Ghost Seer”, which was invited to the Radikal Jung theater festival in 2010 and to the International Schiller Days in 2011 . For the Ruhrtriennale 2009 he met Andrea Breth in her staging Der Zerbrochne Krug . Since 2009 he has been a member of the ensemble at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin. Here he worked a. a. together with directors like Jette Steckel , Stephan Kimmig and Michael Thalheimer . He was then a member of the ensemble at the Maxim Gorki Theater since the 2011/12 season. In addition to the director Nunes, he also worked with Armin Petras , Milan Peschel and Jorinde Dröse . In 2012 he was awarded the Theater Prize of the Friends of the Maxim Gorki Theater. Under the same directorship, he moved to the Schauspiel Stuttgart in the 2013/14 season . Since the 2015/16 season he has been a member of the ensemble at the Thalia Theater Hamburg . The performance produced there “When the role sings or the perfect angler” (together with his fellow actor Thomas Niehaus ) was awarded the critics' and audience awards at the Radikal Jung theater festival at the Munich Volkstheater in 2017 . The production Die Odyssey , which he also plays with Niehaus , was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen 2018.

Together with Steffen Wilhelm , he founded the multiple award-winning duo Paul and Willi in 1997 .
