Paulette Dubost
Paulette Dubost , actually Paulette Marie Emma Deplanque (born October 8, 1910 in Paris , † September 21, 2011 in Longjumeau , Île-de-France ), was a French actress .
Life
Paulette Dubost was born in 1910 as the daughter of a gas engineer and a singer with the Paris Opéra-Comique . At the age of seven, Dubost entered the Paris Opera Ballet School . At the age of 17, Paulette Dubost switched to operetta as a performer and singer . She was engaged to the Bouffes Parisiens and made her debut in The Adventures of the King Pausole by Arthur Honegger at the side of Simone Simon , Edwige Feuillère , Michèle Alfa and Viviane Romance . The piece was played " en suite " at the Bouffes for two years .
In the following years Dubost played at the Folies Wagram . In the 1930s, Paulette Dubost came to film.
Dubost played in a total of almost 200 films and television series, many of which were also shown internationally. She worked with all the major film directors and actors in France. Of her film roles, the Ginette in Hôtel du Nord by Marcel Carné , the Lisette in Die Spielregel by Jean Renoir , Madame Fernande in Pläsier by Max Ophüls , the Germaine Pasture in Die Vier im Jeep by Leopold Lindtberg , her caring housekeeper , will be remembered Johanna in Girls in Uniform by Géza von Radványi and Germaine Fabre in The Last Metro by François Truffaut .
From the 1970s she developed an equally successful career in French television. Paulette Dubost was artistically active to the end, and she did not make her last film until 2007. In 2008 she recited the poem "Les parents" by Arthur Rimbaud for a CD production .
The actress married André Ostertag on December 24, 1936; their marriage resulted in a child in 1942. The marriage later ended in divorce. Paulette Dubost died in September 2011 at the age of 100.
