Paulino Reale Chirina
Paulino Reale Chirina (born January 25, 1924 in Canicattini Bagni , Italy , † March 29, 2012 in Luján de Cuyo , Argentina ) was the Roman Catholic Bishop of Venado Tuerto in Argentina.
Life
Reale Chirina entered the minor seminary of Syracuse on the east coast of the Italian region of Sicily in 1937 ; In 1938 he moved with his mother to Argentina, where his father had lived since 1926. In San Juan and Cordoba he attended the seminaries and completed the priestly training there. He was ordained a priest for the diocese of Mendoza on December 5, 1948 in the parish church of Maipú (Mendoza). From 1949 to 1952 he was parish vicar of Our Lady in Luján de Cuyo and from 1952 to 1968 parish priest of St. Maria in Goretti. From 1968 to 1989 he was pastor of Our Lady in Luján de Cuyo in the Argentine province of Mendoza.
He was committed to the Catholic Action , especially for young people and workers. He built the schools Santa María Goretti and San Pablo as well as the neighborhood aid Santa Inés . In 1959 he was a member of the Cuerpo Párrocos Consultores . He taught as a professor at the Diocesan Seminary of Mendoza and from 1975 to 1983 at the Colegio de Consultores . Reale was Dean of Godoy Cruz and a member of the Council of Priests from 1982 to 1984 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Venado Tuerto on June 19, 1989 . The Archbishop of Córdoba Raúl Francisco Cardinal Primatesta donated him episcopal ordination on September 8, 1989 ; Co- consecrators were Cándido Genaro Rubiolo , Archbishop of Mendoza, and Ubaldo Calabresi , Apostolic Nuncio in Argentina . Pope John Paul II accepted his age-related resignation on December 16, 2000.
He was a member of the Order of Knights of the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem .
